Mozilla Firefox-What a difference a click can make!

What a difference a click can make!!!

I recently got a new computer.  It is amazing how long it takes to move things over and set it up the way you like it. My new computer came with windows Internet Explorer 64 Bit.  Originally I thought cool, more is better right?  Well what I found out was that wasn't exactly true.  I am an old dog and it's hard to teach me new tricks, but this my snow and ice covered roofmorning I was raining, and you may have caught my earlier post about ,"It Happened Again" where I talked about loosing a blog that I had saved as a draft.

Well what I didn't mention was that I also was having trouble with the insert picture feature in Active Rain.  I had to cut and paste.( Hence the snowy picture to the left)

Well due to many wonderful comments I took one of our bloggers suggestions!  They suggested using Mozilla Firefox.  I instantly downloaded it, because I had heard about it before.  I am usually afraid to do this kind of thing, but my tech savoy supportive husband was sitting right next to me for moral support.  This was so easy to do.

First I did a google search and put in Firefox as a key word.sno

Top search was this-

Mozilla | Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client

I clicked on the blue icon and it brought me to  this

click here to start the down load of FireFox

It then walked me though the process of installing Monzilla Firefox.

Very Easy and now I can use the Active Rain Tool bar.

Pam, I, too, have Mozilla Firefox added onto my laptop.  I use Google as my homepage, with Internet Explorer.  I, also, upgraded my computer to Windows 7.  Love it!  Have to keep internet explorer for the mls access:)

I too have started using Mozilla.  It is amazingly bug free and easy to use.I espeicially like the "morning cup of coffee" feature that opens all at once all the websites you use on a daily basis. It saves lots of keystrokes.

The only problem I have with it is that some websites do not yet cooperate with it, for example my online banking programs, and part of my MLS' features such as "Trueforms". So I have to go back to IE to enter those.

Pam, Glad to hear Mozilla has been helping you. It can be very frustrating when you experience problems.

Pam, Firefox is a very good browser with lots of plug-ins - one of them will help you write blogs easily.

I also like Google's Chrome.

I read somewhere that Firefox has recently overtaken the popularity lead from IE.  It seems faster, and the plugins are great.  One I suggest is Adblock.

I have been a bit reluctant to upload Firefox ~

Pam, I think you might have just convinced me to do it ~

I am hesitant to change.  If it is not broken I don't want to change it.

We use Firefox to maintain our web site - FireFTP is a great add-on to Firefox.  Have had some compatibility issues in downloading ScribeFire but will get it resolved so we can use it to blow.

I have a fairly new computer as well, fun learning everything about it.  And no more IE for me as well, Firefox only.
