Showing Off Spencer-Discovering Spencer, the Brookfields, Worcester County, Massachusetts and New England: RE/MAX = FEE/MAX? No Way! It's More Like FREE/MAX!

RE/MAX = FEE/MAX? No Way! It's More Like FREE/MAX!

This was a blog that one of our newest RE/MAX agents said about our company.  I wish everyone in our area knew the real truths.  Thanks Kathleen!

RE/MAX = FEE/MAX?  No Way!  It's More Like FREE/MAX!

Ask any outside real estate agent what they think of when they think of RE/MAX and you'll often get the comment "FEE/MAX".  Competitors drill the fear in their heads that they can't afford to go to RE/MAX because there are so many fees.  How many of them do you think actually take the time to look into this myth?  Not many!  The job of addressing this and helping agents to overcome that objection has been left to broker owners and their recruiting partners.

I have worked as an independent brokerage, as part of a Keller Williams franchise and am now happily settling in with RE/MAX Professional Associates.  I have been blown away by the lack of fees compared to everything I have heard.  It's quite the opposite.  I actually get way more FREE than I had at Keller Williams who I consider to nickel and dime their agents.  From monthly office fees, charges for all phone calls, copies, advertising, MA Pass, Access Line and almost all outside of the office training, I am happy to give that up by joining the #1 franchise company in the world!

In our RE/MAX office there are no monthly fees, no fees for copying, no fees for using the phones.  You can walk into any of their 3 locations and grab forms and contracts at your leisure for FREE.  Our broker covers the annual RE/MAX fee for their agents.  Our caps are much lower and splits much higher than any of the other major franchise companies around us.

Today I attended a Team Leader luncheon training in Natick and I was shocked that it was FREE Not only for the training, but also the lunch they provided from Panera.  At my previous franchise I'm used to paying $35-$40 per agent in addition to the sponsors they get money from to hold the mandatory trainings in most cases.  In a few weeks I will be going to Mystic, CT to the RE/MAX & YOU training to learn some stuff on technology and LeadStreet.  Guess what it costs me?  NOTHING!

If you truly want to learn from the best, build a team and associate with the best brand out there, "FREE/MAX" is for you!

I've not seen a RE/MAX with no office fees and have checked with quite a few in my area. Sounds interesting.

Pam, I'm glad that Kathleen found perfect company to work for.

Thank you Pam!  I'm glad to be here and glad to share all of the things you and Lorraine have to offer our local agents.

I spent five years with RE/MAX, loved the people and received great in-house training.  But have to disagree with you about the fees.  We paid a desk fee (three of us shared a small office), monthly fee to RE/MAX Corporate, split all the office fees among the agents including the secretary and the admin assistant for the broker/owner.

I have received a recruiting email from a RE/MAX office in Denver advertising a flat fee (like $230) plus keep 99% of your commissions.  Curious as to how they are doing that....  Looks like a change in the business model from what you are saying and this advertising piece.  How long will the other franchises keep paying the big fees when others are not?

We have a very unique program.  We have over 18 commission options to choose from.  Most are a no fee split option.

We offer a vitual agent option, but Atlanta may be a bit too far, not to mention we don't have a Georgia license.  If you have any Massachusetts Real Estate friends, have them get in touch with me.  We have very unique programs.
